Finding motivation is quite tricky. Different things work for different people and it can take a while. Today I am going to share some of my tips to get motivated.
StudyTube
Watching StudyTube videos are one of my favourite ways to get motivated. Whether its a study with me or a Uni day in my life, I'm always down to watch one. They are great to get you in the mood before you start or as background sounds while you work.I am going to include links to some of my absolute favourite StudyTubers:
Open the curtains
Opening the curtains is a super refreshing feeling. The sun streamed in through the windows onto my desk. I find this super motivating.
Change clothes
Whether changing from Pj's or into comfy clothes, changing clothes always motivates me. I don't really know why but it puts me in a better mood. I guess it makes sense because you won't we lazing around in your Pj's all day.
Write a To-Do list
Writing a To-Do list sets out a goal for you to reach by the end of the day, week, month or even year! If you write a list, you can get ultimate satisfaction by crossing something off. This is a great way to set the mood for your study/work session.
Tidy up
Tidying up my desk and my room really clears my mind before I sit down to do some work. A famous quote or saying is 'tidy space is a tidy mind'. It honestly works a treat and always tidy my desk before and after work.
Apps
Using apps to plan out your time is a great way to be productive. A popular app is Forest. It stops you from going on your phone for a certain amount of time. You grow trees based on how long you stay off your phone. Another app ,this one I use personally, is Flipd. Flipd is similar to Forest (one difference is that Flipd is free) and you can set time to spend off your phone. You can put your phone in lock down mode to completely get rid of your apps for a certain amount of time.
